USPS Postage Rates Have Changed

Ivory House Creative May 5, 2022

If you are going to be mailing your invitations in the next month or so, you need to know that the USPS has changed their postage rates. While we always recommend taking a completed assembled invitation in the mailing envelope to the post office to determine how much postage you need to mail, we wanted to give you this updated information, so you can budget accordingly.

Standard-sized save the dates, thank you cards, and single cards can typically be mailed with an envelope using one forever stamp, currently $0.58. If you are using traditional reply card with envelope. you must include another forever stamp on your replies. Most invitation suites will require a 2oz. rate stamp, currently $0.78. Standard envelopes sizes include: A2, A6, A7, A8, A9, A10, No. 10 and 4 Bar.

There are ALWAYS exceptions with the USPS, so please keep in mind that items like square envelopes, envelopes thicker than a 1/4” and irregular items can require additional postage. You can find all of this information on my website under Postage Guide. You can also download our free PDF with more information here.

A quick reminder that USPS has announced they are making a rate adjustment for postage in July of 2022. So, if your save the dates or invitations will be mailed in July, please make sure you check those changes prior to purchasing stamps.

Ivory House Creative, LLC is in no way liable for any issues that may arise when dealing with the United States Postal System.

For more pricing options please visit the USPS website.
