Hey all! I just wanted to pop in a give you a quick recap of my recent girls trip to NYC! About a month ago my mom, younger sister and I took a girls trip to The Big Apple! Since flights can be kind of pricey we decided to drive. Let me just tell you it's amazing the amount of work you can get done while confined in a car for 9 hours with no distractions.
Any who! I think we pretty much covered the entire burrow of Manhattan plus more! It took weeks for my feet to recover from blisters. (Note to self: next time pack comfier shoes). We saw the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, visited the 911 Memorial and Freedom Tower, saw the view from atop the Empire State Building, caught an evening showing of The Lion King on Broadway, ate at plenty of quaint NYC restaurants, made a pit stop at Carlos' Bakery (NYC), took a stroll through central park, hit the Museum of Modern Art (so I could get my Warhol fix) and of course did lots of shopping!
It was so nice to get away and refresh for a couple of days. Between working full-time, Ivory House and grad school my schedule tends to be lacking for free time! So this was a much needed trip away!
Next time I hope to take my husband back so we can tour Madison Square Garden and possibly ice skate at Rockefeller Center!
