When I feature work for a business client, I typically don’t have a personal relationship with them. Today’s blog post is a little different, because it was designed for a friend and photographer, Holly. Holly’s daughter, Caroline Rose, was born with Cystic Fibrosis.
Holly reached out to me to design a team logo to support the annual CF fundraiser -- Great Strides. The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness and fund research for better treatments and a CURE for CF.
The name of their team is, “Caroline’s Crew” (love the alliteration). I designed a classic logo with a garden rose as the main focus, which is fitting because it’s Caroline’s middle name and the “mascot” for Cystic Fibrosis! Using this logo, we created a variety of merch items for the team to wear and show their support. The t-shirts featured a small Caroline’s crew logo on the front. And, the back had a larger design, “65 roses” to honor the CF Foundation. Per Holly’s request, we also included a quote from Nelson Mandela, “It always seems impossible until it is done.”
I hope Ty, Holly, Caroline and everyone on Caroline’s crew loved this design as much as I did. I love seeing pictures from the big day each year! Sending lots of love and support to Caroline’s Crew.
