It is not often that we get called to the plate for a traditional branding project, but today I thought I would share a recent branding project for Hollylynn Photography!
For those of you who might remember, this project went hand-in-hand with our newlywed photo shoot I wrote about a few weeks back. Ivory House and Hollylynn Photography paired up to swap services. Holly offered us a wonderful photo session in trade for some branding, business cards and stationery!
When Holly contacted me about branding, she had a handwritten, organic look in mind and I had just the prefect idea....stamps. I wasn't sure if she would want to step out of the realm of the traditional business card and stationery.....but she was all for it and I was ecstatic! Once we had a direction, it took us about a month or so to get a final logo and color scheme locked down. Below is the final brand inspiration board. This takes the entire look and feel of Holly's brand and puts it in perspective. I personally love inspiration boards. They help clients and myself to visualize the entire concept, as well as create a consistent and cohesive look and feel.
Once the inspiration board and concept was approved by Holly, we were off and running. I created a variety of versatile stamps for her to use on all of her stationery and packaging. Now she has all of the tools she needs to recreate her business cards, envelopes and packaging whenever she needs them. Not only was this solution super cost effective, but it enabled Holly to have a lot of creative freedom. She can stamp anything and everything 'til her heart desires. The stamp also gives off the organic and DIY vibe she was going for, while remaining professional, classy and unique. I am super happy with how everything turned out! And, I am so glad that Holly jumped on board my stamp idea. It was really refreshing to make a traditional design project turn into something so fun and user friendly!
